Can I get 2 Mementos using 2 different dates?

Can I pledge for a future date (expecting baby or upcoming wedding)?

Yes, of course. But keeping track of individual backers over an extended period of time can be difficult. Please make sure to check in with us when your date is decided. Also, keep in mind that your collectible card might not be printed if you fail to provide your date before the BackerKit survey deadline. As the minimum quantity at our dear printer Moo is 50 cards, you will receive a digital version of the card instead. Can you engrave the event name on the STC Memento?

Will I have to pay customs fee?

Custom fees might apply to certain materials that are only manufactured in the EU by i.materialise (Raw Steel, Polished Steel, Black Plated Polished Brass & Raw Titanium). Shapeways has manufacturers both in the USA & EU, so no custom fee will apply for US & EU backers, for most materials. Customs fee might apply to backers outside the USA & EU. Why don’t you offer deals if we buy 2 or more rewards?

What if there’s a problem with the reward I receive?

Shapeways offers a 30 day return policy. Please make sure to get in touch with Shapeways and refer your invoice number if you experience any manufacturing issues. i.materialise offers a 14 day return policy. Please make sure to get in touch with them and refer your invoice number if you experience any manufacturing issues. My shipment got returned to you and I didn’t get any delivery notification!

Once you receive your tracking info (via BackerKit) it is your responsibility to check on the status and get in touch with your local mail carrier in case they fail to leave a notice. Exchange Policy

Exchanges can be made within 30 days through Shapeways and 14 days through i.metarialize in cases of manufacturing mistakes. In the event that something is wrong with your 3D print, please contact Shapeways or i.metarialize ASAP with your order / invoice number. BackerKit FAQ

What is BackerKit?

BackerKit is a service that crowdfunded project creators use to keep track of hundreds to tens of thousands of backers—from shipping details, pledge levels, preferences and quantities, whether they have paid or had their card declined, special notes, and everything in between!

The BackerKit software and support team is independent from the campaign’s project team—BackerKit does not handle the actual reward shipping. For more information about the preparation or delivery status of your rewards, please check the project's updates page.

How does BackerKit work?

After the campaign ends, the project creator will send you an email with a unique link to your survey. You can check out a walkthrough of the process here.

How do I update my shipping address?

BackerKit allows you to update your shipping address until the project is locked down for shipping. To update your address, go back to your BackerKit survey by inputting your email here.

I completed the survey, but haven't received my rewards yet. When will they arrive?

As BackerKit does not actually handle any rewards or shipping, the best way to stay updated on the shipping timeline would be to check out the project's updates page.

Why can’t I log into my account?

Request a login link to your survey by entering your email here:

BackerKit will send you an automated email with an invite link to whatever email you pledged with.

I never received my invitation. How do I complete the survey?

The most common reasons for not receiving a survey email is that you may be checking an email inbox different from the email address you used to sign up with Kickstarter, Indiegogo or Tilt Pro account, or it may be caught in your spam filter.

Confirm that the email address you are searching matches the email address tied to your Kickstarter, Indiegogo, or Tilt Pro account. If that doesn’t work, then try checking your spam, junk or promotions folders. You can also search for "backerkit” in your inbox.

To resend the survey to yourself, visit the project page and input the email address associated with your Kickstarter, Indiegogo or Tilt Pro account.

When will my pledge will be shipped, charged or locked down?

That is handled directly by the project creator. BackerKit functions independently of the project itself, so we do not have control of their physical shipping timeline. If you want to check on the project’s status, we recommend reading over the project's updates page.

Can I upgrade or get multiple copies of my pledge?

This depends on the project creator’s decision. If you are unable to see the ‘Want to switch your pledge level?’ after clicking on your pledge amount under “Pledge Level” in your survey, then the project creator would prefer people not to switch pledge levels.
