Color Prints & new EU friendly campaign

Have you seen our last SpaceTime Coordinates project? it's a color version of the solar system featuring the Moon and optional legends.

Also, we now have a printer in EU for the Matte prints. But our Luster prints can only be fulfilled by our US printer at the moment. We hope our EU printer will offer the Luster option in the near future.

update: cards, production and possible plastics issues

Hello Backers!

here's an update on 3 things:

Cards

I'm done packing and stamping all the cards! I already shipped almost half of them and will finish shipping them all this week. I hope some of you are stamps collectors! (see picts below)

Polished Metal Production

as mentioned in the previous update, Shapeways has recently changed their minimum requirements for details when 3D printing in polished metals. so I had to deepen the orbits and order new prototypes to make sure they were fine. and they are! so, I'm starting the production again when I left off: polished metals.

Plastic Mementos

when ordering the new prototypes, I got all the plastic variations and got 2 with a ton of dust in the orbits and holes, making the Mementos look like a flat disk really. this didn't happen when I got my prototypes the first time. but using a toothbrush and needle, it's easy to remove the dust and clear the orbits and planets.

a few backers said they were disappointed by their plastic Mementos but without explaining why or sharing pictures. now, I'm thinking that might have happened to them. so, if it happened to you, try to clean them or send me some pictures at [email protected] and I'll see if Shapeways agrees to send a replacement even though it's been a while since the plastic Mementos shipped.

Update: Collectible Cards & Polished Metal Mementos

Hello backers,

I'm almost done processing all the collectible cards and they should ship by the end of the month. 

I'm currently placing orders for the Steel Mementos at i.materialise and I still need to process the following materials: Black Platted, Silver, Gold Platted and Titanium.

I did place all the orders at Shapeways for the Polished Metals (Brass & Bronze), but unfortunately they cancel them all, as engraving requirements have since changed for Polished Metals.

Which means I have to re-work on my base files and deepen the orbits lines, then re-generate all the Mementos.

I've placed an order for the new prototypes today, in a bunch of materials, as I want to make sure the quality would be the same as the prototypes I got earlier this year. I should get them by mid May. So I'll be holding the production of all Polished Metals (along with Silver and Gold Platted) until I make sure the new prototypes are good.

I'm sorry for the delay if you pledged for those materials. But if you want to have your reward processed before I receive the new prototypes, get in touch with me, we'll discuss it.

Frosted Mementos & update

Hello Backers,

all the Frosted Mementos tier pledges are currently being printed and some already have shipped! I've started placing orders at Shapeways for the Raw Metals ones. 

so far, 220 backers got their rewards shipped to them. 380 to go! (งツ)ว

I want to remind you that the Frosted Mementos might require some DIY work, as mentioned in the project description.

so, if you want a very smooth and clear Memento, you'll need to sand it a bit. either with a fiberglass pen (which I used to polish the ones I got) or a very fine sand paper.

they might also require to have their holes cleaned a bit, please refer to previous update: kickstarter.com/projects/govy/spacetime-coordinates-memento/posts/1819493
