Hello Backers,
so far, 132 backers had their rewards printed and shipped to them! as I mentioned in my previous update, please be sure to check that you got the correct Memento printed.
a reminder, the cards will ship independently, I actually received the 850 cards I got printed, just a few days ago. I'll need to inspect them and then pack and ship them all from Japan. I hope by the end of March.
but the 3D Mementos are either printed by Shapeways or I.materialize, so they do the direct shipping to you, no Memento will pass through me, and that's why it's important you inspect them to be sure no mistake was made from the printers.
this week I'll start the production of the Frosted Mementos and then the Metal ones.
the Plastic Mementos might need some DIY love, to enlarge / even the holes more. it can easily be done with a small needle. check the image below.

Hello backers!
I've finished generating all the 3D files of your Mementos. and I've started placing orders at Shapeways for the plastic Mementos.
once your reward ships, you will get a notification from [email protected] with a link to your tracking number. so be sure to keep an eye out for it! (beware of the SPAM folder!)
please inspect your reward right away, to be sure the correct Memento was sent to you or printed in the right material. be sure to compare it to your digital file that you can find at memento.backerkit.com/backer/digital_rewards
because at first glance the Mementos kinda look the same, I do expect some human error to happen at the printer, even though they will do their best to avoid any mishap. so, in the event that happens, please contact Shapeways asap at shapeways.com/contact/contact_form_customer_servicewith your order ID which will be included in your package. you'll have 30 days to get in touch with them in order to fix any mishap.
Please remember the terms you agreed to when filling out your survey:
Shipping: Once you receive your tracking info (via BackerKit) it is your responsibility to check on the status and get in touch with your local mail carrier in case they fail to leave a notice. In the event your package gets returned to us, please understand that you may be charged for reshipping.
Exchange Policy: In cases of manufacturing mistakes, exchanges can be made within 30 days through Shapeways. In the rare event that something is wrong with your 3D print, please contact Shapeways ASAP with your order number.
Please remember to inspect your reward after receiving it, as exchanges cannot be made unless you contact the manufacturer as soon as possible.
Exchanges will only be accepted in cases of manufacturing defect/error. You cannot return a personalised Memento in the event that you change your mind or did not give the proper date - as it was printed just for you.
Customs Fees: Shapeways has manufacturers both in the USA & EU, so no customs fee will be charged for US & EU backers for most materials. Customs fees might apply to backers outside the US & EU.

Hello all!
I kept pushing the deadline for providing dates (or changes) to the cards before they go to the printer, because I wanted to try to give everyone the chance to get a printed card. and I got some late comers to the party, but now it's time to start printing!
also, with my talented developper we finally finished coding a neat script that would generate all the 3D files, and made it so the process is automated as much as possible, meaning faster delivery expectancy.
I will start the 3D printing of the plastic Mementos first, and every time an order ships out to a backer, I'll be adding the tracking info to their BackerKit account.
so, once your order ships, you will get a notifaication from [email protected] so be sure no email is ending up in your Spam folder!
Survey Deadline is January 31! (last call for cards changes)

Hi Peeps!
as I've mentioned before, I've pushed the deadline for the survey back to January 31, because some backers still needed to give me their dates if they wanted to have their printed collectible card. I'm still waiting on 15 backers to fill out their survey. so that's the last call for them!
and this is the last call for you all, if you want me to make any change to the text on your collectible card before the files go out to the printer!
as my faithful backers might now (the ones from campaign n*1) I've been planning on moving to Japan in 2016. I left the USA in 2015 to come back to my home-country, France, to prepare my big move and also to be with my grandmother. unfortunately I had to keep pushing my moving date back as she was getting worse and worse... she actually passed away last September at 95.
that's why it took me so long to actually make my big move. but I'm finally there! I've landed 7 days ago. and it took me just as long to get acclimated again, but now I'm ready to get back to work full-time!
I'll start generating the 3D files real soon and start the production. I think I will start with all the plastic Mementos, as they are the majority.
today I'll run some tests to make sure the 3D generating will run smoothly.
